SICF23（第23回スパイラル・インディペンデント・クリエイターズ・フェスティバル）
スパイラルは、若手作家の発掘・育成・支援を目的とした公募展形式のアートフェスティバル「SICF23（第23回スパイラル・インディペンデント・クリエイターズ・フェスティバル）」を、2022年5月3日（火・祝）‒ 8 日（日）に開催します。
EXHIBITION部門では、気鋭の若手作家が、スパイラルホール（スパイラル3F）を舞台に、立体・インスタレーション、絵画、工芸・クラフト、メディアアート、写真やそれら既存のジャンルにとらわれない作品を発表し、活発なプレゼンテーションを展開します。 昨年より新設されたMARKET部門では、スパイラルガーデン（スパイラル1F）を舞台に、工芸・クラフト、アクセサリー、プロダクト、ファッションなど生活を豊かに彩る作品を展示、販売をいたします。
会期の最終日には、来場者の投票によって決まるオーディエンス賞や、もっとも作品を売り上げたクリエイターに贈られるベストセールス賞をはじめ、スパイラル奨励賞、各審査員賞、準グランプリ、グランプリを優秀作品に授与します。EXHIBITION部門のグランプリアーティストには、スパイラルを象徴する空間「アトリウム」での個展（制作補助費 50 万）の機会を、MARKET部門のグランプリアーティストには、エントランスでの個展（制作補助費 30 万）の機会をそれぞれ提供します。
昨年は10000名以上の来場者を記録したSICF。作品を「観る楽しみ」に加え、「購入する喜び」を体験できる本アートフェスティバルへぜひご来場ください。

EXHIBITION
Since the launch of the festival, the EXHIBITION section has welcomed the works of 2226 creators. Whether it is painting, installation, sculpture, design, photography, movie, media art, dance or creative engineering, each exhibit will be encapsulated, for 3 days, in a w1.650 x d1.650 x h2.400mm booth.

SCREENING PROCESS
The results of the application screening will be announced to the applicants by e-mail in the beginning of March. The list of participants will be published on SICF website around the middle of March 2022.
Those who passed the screening process will be invited to exhibit at SICF23.

CONDITIONS
・The visitors admission to Spiral Hall (Spiral 3F) area will be charged.
・The exhibitors who sell their works will be charged 15% of the price of the work in total by SICF office as handling fee. The shipment of the works is at the charge of the exhibitor.

The winner will be invited to present a solo show at Spiral (500,000 yen will be granted to the winner to prepare this exhibition’s works)

The winners will participate to SICF23 Winners Exhibition (group exhibition)
*Chosen by Spiral, the Daily Art Award is a new prize given to a creator presenting works of art easy to incorporate in the everyday life.

Are you challenging new means of expression and explore yet uncovered areas of the creation?
・Originality
Are your works original and not inspired by others?
・Expression
Are your ideas and concept clearly expressed in your works?
・Technic
Do you have the technical ability to enhance the artistry of your work?
・Potential
Do your works have a business potential that can be developed in and out of Spiral (curatorial exhibition, commercial exhibition, public art installations, etc.)?
JUDGES
To be announced in the beginning of December.
MARKET
The MARKET section, inspired by Spiral overall concept of fusion of art and life, will focus on artistic creations in lifestyle, fashion and food industries. Creators of the craft and product design as well as chefs will be selected to exhibit their products for three days, in an area composed of a counter and the wall (w1,500 x w2,400 mm) behind.

Do your items have the potential to be commercialized at Spiral stores (Spiral Market, Entrance, Spiral Café, etc.)?

・Participants must allow SICF operating company Spiral / Wacoal Art Center to use copyright images in all printed matters and web contents accompanying the publicity and promotion of this event.
・ Participants personal information will be used for inquiries about submitted works, notification of examination results, information about the next steps and other matters that are considered necessary by SICF. As a general rule, we will not use or provide personal information to third parties for any other purpose without the consent of the individual.
・ It is possible to apply for both the EXHIBITION and the MARKET sections, but after passing the screening, you may only exhibit in one category.
